Film Locations

I believe the best place to film a convincing horror trailer would be in a

- Dark place
- Abandon
- Wilderness
- Has a spooky feel to it
- Mysterious

I have personally looked at different locations to look for the place which incorporates these convincing horror traits. The place i found is a around a forest wildlife. It is based in Anlaby which is very good as me and my partner both live near the location meaning we can get there reasonably fast and go a few times to take pictures of the setting which i will put on here.

The location is called Anlaby house and is known by locals as a spooky place and area which is perfect for me as this is what i want for my horror trailer. The place has a few flats in the grounds as it has been newly taken over but the forest around it is still there so me and my partner will have to ask for permission to film to make sure we have the correct authority to shoot the trailer.

The time we want to film is at night as darkness is one of the main conventions of horror trailers. I intend on shooting the trailer around 6pm as the lighting will be perfect for the trailer as most horror trailers start in the day and go to the night when the horror starts so with this we can film the day shots as the lighting will still be fairly light but then after an hour or so the light will be perfect for the horror scenes as they will be enough lighting to see the characters yet keep the mystery of the darkness with it.
